When is it “too early” to book for next year’s accommodation ??
This is a question that is often debated.
At Unipads we have a short and simple answer.
It is NEVER too early to reserve your house for next year.
What is the criteria when students look for their student accommodation ?
First two most important questions are:
- How many in your group ?
- What is your budget ?
Once that is established then you can start looking.
Our mobile-friendly Unipads website recently underwent a complete overhaul and enables potential tenants to choose from a magnificent selection of houses and apartments in a very easy way.
The Unipads way is very intuitive, logical and user friendly.
Select the relevant button underneath “How many in your group”. You then arrive on a page with properties that accommodate that number of tenants. You are also advised how many available Unipads properties there are left in that category. There is even a “map” button so you can see exactly where that property is located.
Select the property you like the look of and which meets your budget criteria and you will then see more details, photos, virtual tours, videos etc.
You can then select “Arrange to View” which will put your favourite properties into a basket. Send that to us with your name and mobile number and we will arrange for one of our Unipads team to contact you (usually within 24 hours) for a viewing.
Now back to the original question: “When is it too early ?”
Unipads have been letting to students in Selly Oak for over 20 years and there is one message which we can state is 100% definitely true and that is “THE BEST PROPERTIES ALWAYS GO FIRST”. Over the years we have seen so many times when students delay their final choice because they want to view more properties and when they get back to us asking about a property they might have already viewed with us, it is always “TOO LATE”.
Our Unipads representative will always suggest that when you attend viewings, you should, where possible bring your whole group with you.
Why ? Because if you see a house you like, you need to be in a position to make a decision sooner rather than later. If the members of your group who didn’t attend the first viewing want to see the house then that delay might result in the house being taken by another group.
Nowadays, you can do most of your research online and at Unipads, we have evolved our website in such a way that by the time you actually view the property you have almost already made your decision.
If you look at our website now you will see that most properties state “TOO LATE”. Those are fully reserved for 2025/6.
